Photo repair

Here is an example of repairing a photo. On the left is the original photo. The customer wanted the image of the lady on a transparent background so that the background colour could be changed.

In attempting to transform the photo, the customer also 'made transparent' a portion of the Stetson (top right). The photo's are shown on a black background to show the damage.

Our job was to repair the Stetson and clean up the photo (bottom right).

Photo clean up and reconstruction

This project was much more complex. The first steps were to clean up the photo. As you can see there are a number of 'spots' to the image that really don't need to be there! (On the hat and the guitar)

The second stage of this job was to reconstruct the missing part of the guitar, as this photo was needed for the cover of a CD Album.

Using many techniques and layers we slowly made built up the image (come on! a craftsman doesn't tell his secrets!) We even reconstructed her 'missing' elbow :)
